A collection of 50 photograps, pulled at random from the author's archives, used to construct an example of webPics-program-generated html "photoalbum". wepPics is a program that constructs a web-page set, cosisting of a number .html and .jpg files, that can be viewed in a web-browser program. The set can be either local (i.e., on the computer on which the browser is running) or on the web server. The generated .html files are intentionally simple to the extreme (specifically, they do not use any "style-sheets" or "scripting"), so that even the most basic (present or future) browsers can be used to display a webPics "photoalbum". The source files collection from which webPics constructs an album consists of a text file listing the photograps to be included, their captions and (optional) descriptions (usually named "webPics.def"), the photographs (optionally in two different resolutions), and their corresponding thumbnails. |
